Our Ethos

Perhaps your child is a future gold medal winner, or perhaps it's the taking part that counts, whatever their aim in sport, we are committed to helping them reach their potential when they attend a King's Camps summer camp.

We know that for some children sport can be intimidating, whilst for other children sport is where they are most confident and happy. It is our priority to ensure that every child is made to feel unique and valued. King's Camps summer camps and activity day camps help children to gain self-confidence and social skills through age-sensitive programmes that encourage and inspire them.

It's also great to know that simply by having fun at our summer camps and activity day camps, your children are easily achieving the government's aim for school children of two hours exercise per week. We also promote healthy living on camps by encouraging everyone to bring healthy packed lunches and running National Healthy Lifestyle days.

Our Staff

Our specially trained Teen Camp staff teams are qualified and selected for their knowledge of sport and their ability to coach and motivate children. The Head Coach at Teen camp is at least ECB level 2 qualified with years of coaching experience. Their qualified team is selected to provide a full range of sports and activities coaching. We carefully choose sports coaches who can deliver sports coaching in an enjoyable and accessible way.

All our Teen Camp coaches are interviewed, provide professional and personal references and are checked with an enhanced disclosure. All senior staff are experienced teachers or instructors and attend our Management Training and Development Programme. All of our Teen Camp sports coaches complete a comprehensive staff training programme that includes:

  • Supervision of children.
  • Child protection.
  • First aid.
  • Fire procedures.
  • Equipment safety.

We endeavour to employ staff that represent the different ethnic groupings of children attending Teen Camp.

Teen Camp select only the most prestigious and best equipped venues for our summer camps and activity day camps.  Our summer camps and activity day camps venues are always top independent and state schools, universities and sports centres with sports halls, swimming pools, studios and playing fields with plenty of space to play, whatever the weather.  Our Teen Camp venues provide the perfect environment for children to develop their sporting skills and enjoy a fun-filled summer camp.
